Hello! My name is Fool! I am 31, and I will not write with people under the age of 21. Sorry! Nothing personal. If you follow me, I will check for your age on your blog before following back. I also like to know the person I’m writing with, so I’ll most likely dm you to talk about plots. I’m nice, I promise! I use Discord much more frequently, so feel free to hit me up for that.02. As I am an adult, there is a possibility of NSFW content on my blog - it’s just part of life. Not a lot bothers me, but I will mark potentially triggering content as “tw” or “trigger warning” out of respect for my followers.03. FOLLOWING BACK.
I am mutuals only, so I won’t interact with you if you aren’t following me (mostly out of fear of bugging you). I’m super open to trying almost anything though, so shoot me a message or an ask or whatever if you’re interested in writing together! I haven’t had the occasion yet to turn someone down. I try to reply to threads within a few days. I’m still getting used to using Tumblr for roleplaying though, as I haven't been on here in quite a while, so forgive me if I miss it. I’m pretty vigilant about checking, but please tag me in responses! I write in third person, past tense, typically, or third person present tense and average at least a paragraph.07. TAGS.
I try to tag each response with the character I’m playing, your username, and your character’s first name. If you are a multimuse, I will tag your username with your name in parenthesis like so: @brokenthebarrier (herbert). I will tag all asks as ‘ask meme’ or ‘ask west’ and all IC responses ‘from the mind of herbert west’. All ooc content will be tagged ‘ooc’.08. SHIPPING.
I don’t autoship, but if you feel like our characters have chemistry, I’m up for a conversation. The only (kinda) exception to this is Daniel Cain...who I would love to plot with if anyone is interested in writing him. That being said, Herbert is 100% unadulterated gay. He knows it. I know it. Everyone knows it.

My version of Herbert very closely follows the source material including all three movies and the novelization.

  • Herbert does use a diluted mixture of his serum in order to forego sleeping and eating. Please be warned, explicit drug use will be mentioned.

  • I usually play Herbert as a CIS-gendered man, but I have written him as a trans man before. Mun is non-binary transmasc, and I am happy to play him however my writing partners are more comfortable.

  • Depending on the thread, and if Herbert is crossing into someone else's verse, he will be at a different part of his storyline. Please see verses page for more info.

DANIEL CAIN.

Dan Cain is Herbert's roommate and the other main protagonist in the first two Re-animator movies. In most verses, Herbert and Dan live together, and many of Herbert's actions are influenced heavily by what Dan says and does. Dan is also the only object of Herbert's affection, although the verse will dictate if this is reciprocated or not.
Asks answered by Dan will be tagged #Dan speaks, and all posts made by dan will be tagged as #Daniel Cain and #Cain of Convenience to differentiate my Dan from ones I am writing with.

Wishlist

  • Any sort of plots/ships with Daniel Cain would be wonderful. I will, of course, not assume any romantic intention with anyone before discussing it with the Mun. In most verses, however, West's feelings for his roommate are at least one-sided.

  • Any plots with other horror movie characters of the same time. Especially Evil Dead, The Lost Boys, and A Nightmare on Elm Street.

  • Herbert resurrecting your character as part of an experiment. He tends to become a bit attached to his creations, and exploring that dynamic in RP is fascinating!

  • A begrudging familial situation where Herbert ends up as a mentor or parental figure.

  • Herb being hurt/sick and someone taking care of him. He would be the absolute worst patient.

  • Herb dying and being brought back to life. The angst.
